Interview Questions
How are you connected with parkour and free running? I am a practitioner of free running.
Do you know the difference between parkour and free running? Yeah, parkour is more of an efficient way to move through an environment while free running is all for looks and more flashy.
How long have you been a practitioner of parkour and free running? Four years.
Do you train regularly? I used to but now I train when I can
Have you been injured? If so about how many times? Ohhhh yessss, way to many to count.
Have you ever been hospitalized from parkour and free running? Actually no but a lot of my friends and other people that ive seen have.
What inspired you to begin parkour and free running? It was my way to escape reality and express myself.
Where do you normally perform parkour and free running? At parks and any other structure that has potential.
Do you train at a gym? Again I used to but now not frequently. Maybe once a month now.
Are you aware that there have been deaths resulting of parkour and free running? I can’t say I’m surprised. People have died from basically every sport.
How does this affect you? Not at all.
Do you believe parkour and free running should be discouraged? There’s no reason for that at all. It keeps kids and adults active and positive about life. It gives people like me a way to express themselves.
What is your take on how parkour and free running has been portrayed by the media? The media ruins just about everything. Enough said.
Do you have plans to take parkour and free running and integrate them into a career? Haha not anymore. I’m horrible compared to those guys on television and movies.
Why do you free run and parkour? To get away from reality, stay healthy, and have fun.
Do you think free running and parkour should be turned into a sport one day? Definitely not, it would destroy the essence of parkour.
What do you have to say to people who believe parkour and free running is dangerous and unhealthy for kids to perform? There’s been more deaths in football than parkour. Its all about training and progression. If followed correctly anything is possible.
How can we make parkour and free running safer to participate in? By training more. It’s no more dangerous than anything else in the world.
What does parkour and free running mean to you? Everything.
