i believe

1- i believe that police abuse their power to often and forget they are meant to serve and protect the people.
2- i bleieve that gay people should be treated no differently under the law than straight people.
3- i believe the disciplinary staff of granada abuses their authority.
4- i believe that the age does not determine the amount of respect one should get.
5- i believe that life in prison without the possibility of paroll should be replaced with the death sentence.

5-When it comes to police most people in todays society would connotate a negative experience or attitude towards them. Its ironic because they are supposedly the ones serving and protecting us. However with great power comes great responcibility and quite frankly that power is being abused by our law enforcement. There was a recent news story of 2 police officers who beat down and killed a mentally impaired man as he was begging them to stop. This mans father just so happened to be an ex police officer and you can bet some serious punishments were dealt to the murderers. I find it disgusting how police feel that they are above the law. Even our local police officer, bowen, parks in the red, turns without a signal, and commits numerous other violations of law with no action taken. Unfortunately stories of this nature are not uncommon and just further proves the corruption of our justice system today.
